What is BLDF Series Rotary Table Bearings?
The BLDF Series represents a premium class of axial-radial rotary table bearings, engineered to deliver low friction, exceptional rotational precision, and high limiting speeds. These bearings are specifically designed to support significant axial and radial loads while maintaining superior tilting rigidity. Because of their ability to handle complex combined loads with high reliability, the BLDF series has become the industry standard for high-end applications such as CNC rotary tables, grinding heads, and sophisticated testing equipment.
Features and Core Advantages of BLDF Series
The BLDF series stands out in the precision machinery market due to its unique motion dynamics. Even under high-speed rotation, these bearings maintain extraordinary movement accuracy, consistently exceeding standard operational speed limits. This high axial load capacity and radial load-bearing strength make them indispensable in fields requiring stringent motion management and composite load handling.
A critical technical feature of the BLDF Series is its dual-inner-ring structure. During the installation process, this design requires specialized attention: since the bearing consists of two separate inner rings, the fitting clearance must be precisely determined based on the dimensions of the inner ring with the smaller internal diameter. This structural nuance ensures the bearing achieves its maximum tilting stiffness and stability once integrated into equipment like machine tool swivels and multi-functional testing stages.
Techspecs of BLDF Series Rotary Table Bearings
The BLDF series offers a versatile range of specifications to meet diverse industrial requirements:
Dimensional Range: Our standard production line covers an extensive range of sizes, with Outer Ring Diameters starting from 126mm up to 870mm, ensuring compatibility from compact precision tools to large-scale industrial platforms.
Precision Standards: To meet the world’s strictest machining requirements, we offer three precision grades: P5, P4, and the ultra-precise P2. These grades guarantee sub-micron run-out accuracy for high-end manufacturing.
Load Performance: The series is built for heavy-duty performance, supporting an Axial Dynamic Load ranging from 26kN to 358kN, providing the necessary durability for high-pressure grinding and milling environments.
Availability: We maintain a robust inventory policy. Most standard sizes of the BLDF series are In Stock, ensuring rapid delivery and minimized downtime for your production lines.
Applications of BLDF Series Rotary Table Bearings
The BLDF series is the primary choice for any application where rotation precision and multi-axis stability are non-negotiable.
Machine Tool Rotary Tables: As the heart of 4-axis and 5-axis CNC centers, providing the stability needed for complex workpiece machining.
Grinding Heads: Delivering the low-friction and high-speed performance required for ultra-fine surface finishes in precision grinding.
Advanced Testing Equipment: Used in various functional testing rigs and metrology stages that require repeatable, high-precision angular displacement.
Aerospace & Satellite Communication: Supporting the heavy and complex loads of radar pedestals and satellite tracking antennas.
Large-scale Medical Imaging: Ensuring the smooth and accurate rotation of CT scanners and high-end X-ray gantries.
How does BLDF Series Rotary Table Bearings work?
By combining mechanical bearing rollers with an electronic measurement scale, the BLDF series creates a closed-loop feedback system. As the bearing supports the mechanical load, the integrated sensor transmits real-time angular data to the CNC controller, allowing for immediate correction of rotational errors.
How to Install and Maintain BLDF Series Rotary Table Bearings?
Installation Guidelines
Pre-Installation Inspection: Check surfaces for burrs. Verify that bolt and lubrication holes are clean. Ensure the mounting platform is level and that the shaft/housing dimensions match the bearing specs. Check the perpendicularity of radial and axial surfaces.
Mounting Precautions: Do not use induction heating. While standard rings are often heated to 50-55°C, induction heating will damage the integrated measurement system. Tighten the bolts incrementally in a crosswise pattern.
Post-Installation Check: Verify smooth rotation. Do not use over-graded bolts or excessive tightening torque to avoid deforming the precision rings.
Maintenance & Storage Requirements
Environmental Control: Regularly monitor warehouse temperature and humidity. Implement dehumidification if the environment becomes too moist.
Preserve Original Packaging: Keep the factory oil-seal packaging intact. If damaged, immediately apply rust-proof treatment and reseal.
Lubricant Renewal: Periodically replace rust-proof oil and grease to prevent degradation during long-term storage.
Common Failures and Solutions for BLDF Series
A common issue in precision bearings is Varnish Corrosion (Paint Rust).
Causes of Varnish Corrosion:
Improper Processing: Inadequate cleaning or rust-proofing during production, or corrosive substances contaminating the outer ring.
Substandard Chemicals: Use of low-quality rust-proof oils or cleaning kerosene.
Poor Storage: High concentration of harmful substances in the warehouse air or damaged packaging due to improper handling.
Material Issues: Unqualified packaging materials or insufficient grinding allowance.
Solutions:
Surface Cleaning: Use professional cleaning methods to remove rust from the bearing surface.
Rust-Proof Treatment: After cleaning and drying, immediately spray high-quality rust-proof oil.
Protective Coating: Apply specialized anti-rust dipping paint or solvent-free paint. Ensure the coating is completely cured before the next assembly stage.

Given the structural characteristics of crossed roller bearings (rollers arranged in a 90° cross pattern), our technical team uses 3D CAD and finite element analysis (FEA) software to accurately calculate raceway angles, spacing, and interference.
Customizing products based on customer operating conditions, we benchmark against P2/P4/P5 tolerance classes and simulate post-assembly rotational precision in advance. The blueprint serves as the sole standard guiding all subsequent turning, grinding, and inspection processes.
Turning and grinding are the core processes that determine the bearing's geometric precision. We use high-rigidity CNC lathes for step-by-step ring processing, ensuring basic inner/outer diameter and raceway dimensions through rough, semi-finish, and finish turning while leaving grinding allowances.
We employ plunge grinding with formed grinding wheels for the V-shaped raceways of crossed roller bearings, and perform combination matching for the split inner/outer rings to ensure rotational plane runout meets P5 or higher standards.
The assembly of crossed roller bearings is more delicate than standard bearings: rollers must be arranged in an alternating cross pattern and precisely guided by spacers or cages.
All components are ultrasonically cleaned, dried, and grouped according to measured dimensions. High rigidity and stable torque are then imparted to the crossed roller bearings through negative clearance or preload adjustments. Assembly is completed in a constant temperature and humidity cleanroom to ensure P4/P2 level precision.
As tolerance classes P5, P4, and P2 become progressively stricter, our inspection equipment and processes are upgraded accordingly:
We use high-precision roundness measuring instruments for dimensional tolerances, dial indicators with dedicated test mandrels for radial and axial runout, profilometers and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to verify raceway profiles and angles, and dedicated clearance and torque testers to determine clearance and starting torque.
The packaging process is equally strict, ensuring zero loss of precision for the crossed roller bearings from the factory until pre-installation.
Eco-friendly anti-rust oil is evenly sprayed to ensure no residual particles in the inner cavity. Each bearing is vacuum-sealed in a thickened PE bag and film for water and dust protection, then boxed using wrapping tape. The outer carton is lined with high-density foam and pearl cotton to prevent transport collisions, and is marked with the model, precision grade (P5/P4/P2), and production batch number.
